Jill Yancey
Jill Yancey wrote most of her first novel on the kitchen counter. As full-time mother to four kids under twelve, she’s had to learn the delicate alchemy of combining passion with parenthood.
Her latest essays and poems have been published in Motherscope Magazine, as well as Pivot and Pause: A Poetry anthology by Azure Antoinette and Elizabeth Gilbert. As Community Manager for Tell(h)er Co, Jill helps to bridge the gap between aspiring writers and the publishing world through interviews with thought leaders and accomplished authors, daily prompts, and conversation. Jill partners with poet, entrepreneur, and TELL(h)ER Co Founder Azure Antoinette to amplify the voices of hundreds of female writers across the globe. Her first novel, a careful examination of the mother-daughter relationships that have always captured her curiosity, is currently in production.
Jill believes in the value of a good idea, and the power of a good idea shared. Even, or maybe especially, if believing means she’ll be up every day before sunrise just to write them down. She invites you to say hi on Instagram and join in her #dailymemoir practice @jillwritesabook and poetry on Instagram @jillwritesabook
